We were very busy in the month of September, creating lots of artwork to decorate the walls of our classroom. We created line art of our names for a display of our class group, check them out below! We also practised colour mixing to create the backgrounds for our autumn birch trees, which we finished off with recycled newspaper and markers, and they turned out lovely! In September, we were learning lots of information about sound in science. We did lots of activities to explore how sound is created and how it travels. One of our favourite experiments was when we used cups, string and paperclips to make “phones” and tested them in various parts of the school. We also tested if they worked in different conditions, by using them indoors and outdoors, around corners, whilst moving and when the string is droopy or tangled. Have a look at these pictures to see our class in action!
